Purdey was bitten by a tiger snake and fought for 4 days but the venom got the better of her.  RIP my sweetest devoted little girl, my heart is aching and I miss her terribly.  She was my special little girl

Litter Details:

Purdey was a surprise package.  I went to Melbourne for a visit to Glenda and her two litter of puppies to enjoy helping assess puppies and enjoy a weekend of tollers.  From the moment we met, Purdey and I were drawn to each other.  Glenda could see that and smiled.  The naughty tiggery puppy in the 13 puppies who's batteries rarely ran out.  I had a list of things I was looking for in my next toller puppy and boy was it long.  I had no idea when I stepped off the plane that I would be so impressed with that little birdie Purdey.  Yep I took dead pigeons and wings with me, I really wanted another retrieving toller.  Sleeping puppies, I carefully placed the bird on the ground amongst them and stepped back.  The first aroused, nose in the air, sniff sniff, wide awake and pounce, quick it's mine, she was off.  We fell about laughing.  It was all Purdeys and she wasn't letting anyone else have her prize.  I can't thank Glenda enough for entrusting me with this delightful little girl who just looks at me with those big brown eyes.............and thos ears.  Who can resist such an angelic face.  She's unphased by most things and is easy to live with, but she has a toller streak that lets you know she's there, she can be quite vocal.  I look forward to our future together wherever that leads us.  Purdey developed into a confident outgoing girl who just wanted to be with me and please me.  She retrieved everything that was thrown or placed for her and brought it back to hand.  She was life and soul of the household...its now all very quiet and I miss her
