Arrow with Arthur and Anne got through to Puppy in Group at the Brisbane Royal, Aislinn got Challenge Bitch. Duke and Andrea and Terry got Best of Breed. Back this weekend for the group run off.
River and Jaffa entered obedience Saturday morning in a howling gale. Despite being unable to hear a whole lot, which Jaffa didn't take advantage of Miss J pulled off a 4th place and 186/200 in Open, beaten by Jenna in 3rd with a 187 and Scoota in 1st with a 191, Sandi's red kids. River got 1st in Novice with a 191 and his Novice Title.
From there we headed off to the show ring at break neck speed just in case we missed out, but nope, Lexi got Challenge Bitch and River got Best of Breed and his Australian Champion Title. Two in one day, can't ask for better thn that.
Sunday was another blustery day, and up 5am for retrieving. River brought back 2 of the three marks. He got 46/55 for the first run, but dropped the bird which cost us 3 points. The second run was really hard the bird landing over the far side of the river and he couldn't see or scent it. Five dogs were out on that run. Third run he worked the banks and river hard and went way out to where the bird lay under a tree and nailed it. Boy was I happy. Thrilled with his hard work and we had such a great day. Can't wait till next week.
Sandi and Scoota competed in the Australian Obedience Nationals in Melbourne. State Trial Saturday they got 2nd in Open. Nationals Sunday 1st in UD and 2nd in Open, brilliant job.
Saturday Miss J needed a run to get going, but got her final Excellent Agility pass and a 5th place. The afternoon the tunnel was calling on a Masters Jumping really challenging course, we managed it all bar that which was great. Second masters run and her first pass was a lovely run, good job Jaff
We missed out on our first master's jumping pass by an additional jump. My brain got disorientated doing circles around tunnel entries and I added one. Get with it Mum, sorry Jaffa. She did a great job, shame about the handler.
